Conceptual Design Presented
A conceptual design of the new skatepark was presented during the November 6, 2023 meeting on Lopez Island. The proposed style is a skatepark plaza-style to maximize flow throughout the park. It integrates a variety of features to allow beginners to feel confident and grow into more technical maneuvers.

On December 1, the Parks, Recreation, and Fair Department re-opened the Lopez Island Skate Park after an extensive renovation. The new, approximately 6,300 sq ft skatepark opened to a crowd of eager skaters.
